The service

Word Unscrambler is a free website for finding words in a set of letters, with word lists, definitions and guides. It is run by an individual based in Nigeria. There are no accounts and nothing to pay.

Word lists, scores and definitions

• Results come from the word lists described on the About page. They are not official tournament dictionaries, so a word shown here may not be accepted in every game. Check your game's own rules if a word is challenged.
• Scores add up standard letter values and leave out board bonuses.
• Definitions come from WordNet and Wiktionary and may be incomplete or out of date.
• Scrabble, Words With Friends, Wordle and other games named on the site are trademarks of their owners. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Using the site fairly

You may use the site for personal, educational and non commercial purposes. Please don't:

• try to break, overload or get around the site's security;
• copy the site in bulk with automated tools in a way that slows it down for others;
• present the site's guides or pages as your own.

Using a word finder during a game may break that game's rules or your opponents' trust. That choice is yours.

Content and licences

The guides, page text and design belong to the site's operator. The word lists, definitions and fonts belong to their creators and are used under the licences listed on the About page; you can use them under those same licences.

Availability and responsibility

The site is provided as it is, free of charge. It may change, pause or stop at any time, and it may contain mistakes. As far as the law allows, the operator is not responsible for losses that come from using the site, such as a lost game. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the law where you live.
