How do I enter a pattern?
Type the letters you know in their places and ? for each unknown letter, so C?T finds CAT, COT and CUT. An underscore, a dot or a space works the same way. Use * for any number of letters: C*T finds every word that starts with C and ends with T.
Can I rule out letters?
Yes. Type them into Letters not in the word, for example letters you have already tried in other answers.
Does it read crossword clues?
No. It matches the letter pattern only, using the ENABLE word list. It doesn't include names, places or phrases, so for those you'll need the clue itself.
Why do some words open the unscrambler?
Words with their own page open their meaning. The rest open in the unscrambler, where you can tap them for a definition.
